Tujuane prides itself on operating on a shoestring budget to get the most out of every dollar you donate. Each month, normal operating expenses are around $1,300, which consists of $600 for salaries, $350 for food, $250 for rent and utilities, and $100 for general admin.

In addition, Tujuane provides school fees for secondary school students who have completed our program in primary school. These fees typically cost roughly $400 per student per year.

Since 2015, Tujuane has made significant investments in building its own facilities, consisting of three classrooms, a library, and a kitchen, with electricity, running water, and toilets. We continue to improve these facilities with occasional capital investments.

We would appreciate any donation to support the program, no matter how big or small! Here are a few suggested donations:

  • A donation of $50 would support a hot meal for all 100 of our students.
  • A donation of $75 would support the salary for one of our teachers or staff for one month.
  • A donation of $150 would support rent on our land for one month.
  • A donation of $400 would support a secondary student’s school fees for one year.
